My Journey
My journey has taken me from super creative and intuitive child who loved to draw, write, "silly-act" and sing in front of the camera, to "growing up" and living a real life with all its responsibilities, while never giving up on my dreams... I was also a very deep and introspective teen, I had a calling even then to communicate spiritual ideas, to question the very tenets of life, and to draw closer in my quest to understand God, myself, the universe and everything in between!
As a teen my writings revealed a deep poetic nature, a sense of supernatural understanding that seemed to come out of nowhere. No one told me that I was channeling or connecting to God. I channeled this energy or thoughts through writing, acting and over-achieving. I had big dreams but a practical side that wouldn't let me go too far off the ground.
In my twenties I never thought I would be doing what I do now. I was working in the corporate world, commuting twice a day from a small suburban village to my job in corporate IT. I had a small child at home whom I saw only briefly each day. A deep depression fell over me as I questioned my life and what happened to my dreams?
In business, I became aware of the demands to perform, get along, understand the not understandable, and translate difficult concepts into everyday language for the "higher ups". Now, ironically, I am doing the opposite work. I am working with the "Higher realms" to translate other-worldly concepts and information into everyday language that we can understand to improve our lives. Many miracles have happened along the way to make this possible...
In 2001 the World Trade Centre came down, and my life began to shift. I had moved away from the suburbs and was now living closer to the city, where I could pursue acting and my creativity while still working. When I had my second child nine months later, I never went back to that former world. A series of deaths and twists and turns had me turn inward again, soul-searching and expressing my gifts in numerous ways. In 2005 my father-in-law came to live with us and I nursed him in the last stages of lung cancer. I discovered I had a healing gift when I sent a shock through him without touching his back. Then my interest in healing and A Course in Miracles resulted in a growing awareness that I had other gifts, too. I spent the next several years learning and studying all I could.
As an actress I was able to dig deep and express my self, studying with Janine Manatis from the Actors Studio NY. I had a period of success in TV/Film, followed by the recession in 2008. An inner shift began to take place as I realized there must be more than this... I was doing what I loved but I wasn't connecting and giving from my deepest soul. A trip to New York for a screen-writing course turned into an inner pilgrimage, where I asked God to help me find my path. It showed up in the form of a friend who reflected my gifts and encouraged me to pursue my inner calling, to teach and express myself MORE! Another encounter in New Orleans with a $20 psychic who commented on my light, and told me I was a healer, and that I would never be happy until I helped others and gathered them together. And to go and "Heal those (*bleep*ing) people!" Yikes! I laughed and felt the truth in his statement, even if his presentation was a little off.
In 2011 I began to facilitate transformational workshops called Evolutionary Woman, and started going public with my writing through my blog, 30 Days of Miracles. I caught the interest of a yoga studio owner and was invited to facilitate a retreat in Muskoka, followed by a series of retreats with my international podcasting colleagues Santari Green and Cezarina Trone in Tuscany, Italy.
My biggest breakthrough came during my Metaphysical Hypnosis training in 2012 when I was asked to be the demo person for a past life, and a higher being took over my speech and gave a lesson in consciousness! I discovered my purpose and why I had always felt so different. From then on my life would not be the same. My colleague, Elizabeth Rose and I began to quest into past lives, and discovered our connection through time and our true mission, which she is also writing about in her second book. In the Dominican Republic, while we were on vacation, the angels stepped into Elizabeth and began to put me through a deep healing protocol they called "Full Immersion into Spirit". By the end of the week, they promised I would be a full channel. I didn't believe it, but a week later I was channeling at a trade show and then my practice began.
Since then, it has been a constantly evolving miracle of new opportunities and growth, amazing people, travel, healing circles, clients, my Channel of Light podcast, two books, yoga training, climbing Machu Picchu Peru, working with influential healing and charitable organizations, invitations to conferences, and a growing Channel of Light community where the Channeling work is helping to heal and transform many lives. I am so blessed and I absolutely love what I do! (I'm still a normal person with kids, and I still have to fold the laundry).
Recently I have gone through a full circle experience of renewing my Christian faith, and am moving away from many "new age" concepts I learned from the world, surrendering my spiritual gifts and services to God. I now use any spiritual gifts I may have only as they are directed by God, Christ and the Holy Spirit, and it is a process of unlearning many things and doing what I feel is right and good.
In 2019, I am finally pursuing what I have felt was a calling at that younger age, a spiritual call to Ministry, both local and global, to reach people in a way that requires a community of faith, a strong foundation in my own history (the Wesleyan Methodists in my Irish ancestry, and the Quakers in my English American heritage). I continue to work with individuals and groups as a Spiritual Director and Minister, to share my gifts, and help in any way I can, as I continue to walk my path in faith and Light. My work will continue to evolve as God takes over, and others lives are transformed along the way...
I send you Love and I send you courage to pursue your path and find the Truth for yourself. I would be happy to accompany you for that inner quest and share what I have learned along the way! I will see you on the "walk" of life, as we all find our way back to God.
